Mentors?
I am a new member to the Pro Series family and was wondering if there were any other new members in So Cal that would be open to a training partner where we can bounce questions off of each other this season?

I'm also a new member to ProSeries and am in So Cal as well. What city are you in? I'm in Montebello. I've been looking around trying to find some "practice" stuff that I can do before the season starts up... but haven't had much luck.
We offer some general training for ProSeries users. Checked out the information at http://proseries.intuit.com/tr...
Thank you Maria and Lisa. I have used the online extras but wish there was more to offer. Tax Wise offers a Tax Wise University for members and having something comparable would go a long way for our new members in my opinion. Thank you....Martin
WE ARE NEW TO PRO SERIES AS WELL. LIVING IN THE FAYETTEVILLE NC AREA . WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. MAYBE MORE NETWORKING WE BE GOOD?
If there's some interest on here from other fellow ProSeries users in So Cal... I can startup some kind of "meetup/network" group where we can all join. We can exchange info, cell phone, any instant messenger screen names, and I can setup a distribution/mailing list for us. This way we can keep in touch with each other for the upcoming tax season. I'd like to maybe see if this works to our beneft... possibly meet up somewhere and have maybe someone who is experienced show some of us newbies to ProSeries some shortcuts and/or tips/tricks.
Let me know and I'll be more than happy to setup the group for us.
Feel free to email me or respond back on here. I think it will be a great additional resource for us.

You're talking to a 3 year old post that has nothing to do with QuickBooks.
Tilt - I think I would startup a meetup group here, but Shelly says the Quickbooks ones are really nice, and I don't know how long a group of ProSeries users could stay really nice.
No one wants to travel to your cold neck of the woods or mine. Oh well...
Hey, it's been in the mid 70's all week here. It feels pretty good to walk around in short sleeve shirts yet but it makes the ice fishing a little tough.
I'm jealous. Mid 40s for highs and down to 28. Too early for this. It froze out the rest of the garden.
Brrrrr Tilt! Early cold for us, and actually have some rain (of course to mess up balloon fiesta activites). Windy, windy. Tomatos are still oK, but not the pretty red.
Tomatoes are supposed to be red? Could have fooled us this year. Cucumbers, raspberries, peaches and plums were great. I have about 30 lbs. of potatoes. Grapes and corn never did anything and the carrorts are anemic. 1 pear. We have about a 60 day growing season so it's a little tough sometimes. We're still harvesting cantaloupe. The peaches were so plentiful that 3 of the trees broke in spite of being propped up. Oh well, the joys of rural living.
Steve did an experiment this year and planted rows of corn separated by rows of sunflowers. Sunflowers did great, and since they grow much faster than corn - no corn. I enjoy his experiments - they make me laugh.
You guys seem awefully chatty, you sure you don't want to find a QuickBooks meetup group, or start one, in your area?
Geez, looking at the Qbooks meetup group map, Idaho looks like one of Tilt's forgotten stepchild or whatever she calls them.

I am up in San Jose, with 44 years professional tax preparation experience. I could meet with your group once a year, but winter time would not be a fun drive through the tule fog nor over the Grapevine.
Charlotte --- look at the original post dates. The rest of us are just fooling around. Not only that, but Shelly has nothing to do with taxes if you look at her profile.
