Marketing Hand-crafted Jewelry
If you were in my shoes, how would you market a hand-crafted jewelry business? We sell pre-made items and sell a lot of custom made orders; I'm not quite sure how to market the product with optimal results.

Hi Paradisetrio,
Jewelry is defintely a tough market to get into. The biggest suggestion I can give is try and find some very niche phrases to go after.
A great program to help you with this is Google Adwords Keyword Tool. It's a free program that will let you know how often someone types in a keyword phrase. Start with general searches and work your way down. Ex.
Jewelry --> Handcrafted Jewelry --> Handcrafted Pearl Jewelry --> Handcrafted Pearl Necklace --> Handcrafted Crystazzi Pearl Necklace
Right there you have gone all the way down into a very specific category and eliminated 90% of the competition online. It's always better to start with these very niche keywords to get your site out there and slowly work up to more competitive phrases.

I also recommend putting those keywords in your metatags on your webpage to improve search engine results.
Additionally, I recommend checking out sites geared towards that type of thing like etsy.com. This is a site for people to sell and market handmade items - jewelry,clothes, etc. Many people know about etsy and go there specifically looking for handmade items.
