Does it have to be a CSV file, since you have it in Excel?
Are you trying to use the regular Excel import, or IIF?
What exactly are you trying to import?
You posted this in the "3rd party" section - are you using some tool outside of QB to do the importing?
I am trying to bring over check book transactional data from my bank. Data older than 90 days can either be saved in a CVS or XLS format.

You are going to have to create an IIF file from within Excel in order to bring the check data into QuickBooks.

As Ray says, if you want to use QB to import that kind of information, without resorting to any third party add-on products, you probably need to work with the IIF format. This is something you can create with Excel, but it would take some rearranging to work out. You can find the IIF file information at http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/pages/knowledgebasearticle/bd...
IIF is complicated. When using that I generally work with a tool to help do the formatting. See the tools from Big Red Consulting at www.bigredconsulting.com. These make the task much easier.
You can also use an miport tool from Baystate Consulting to do the import without having to go through IIF. www.baystateconsulting.com
I don't have the web site at hand, but a company named Zachary Systems has a tool that is specifically designed to import bank financial transactions from various formats.
Let me know if that is clear. If this answers your question, please click on the 'solved' button. This will 'close' this thread.
