is there a way to get it to stop asking if I want to display only the content that was delivered securely?

Look here.

- Going to Tools->Internet Options->Security
- Select the ‘Security’ tab
- Click the ‘Custom Level’ button
- In the ‘Miscellaneous’ section change “Display mixed content” to Enable
