Losing connection to database when computer goes to sleep

QuickBooks Canada : Pro 2012

Just installed Quickbooks 2012 on a Windows 7 unit and have noticed that if computer goes to sleep, we lose connection to the database (which resides on the server). We are forced to quit and relaunch Quickbooks to get back in. Any suggestions?

Change your computers settings so that it doesn't go to sleep.

This option kind of defeats the purpose of saving power. Also, other programs don't lose connection when the computer goes to sleep. Perhaps is there a setting in Quickbooks that can be changed?
