Login requires administrator only. Why?
One of my users is being asked to login as administrator. There is no option anymore to login as herself with her password. Any ideas?

You can enter (replace Admin) the username. That log in screen simply retains the most recent log in.
No, you are not getting it. There is no option to type anything except for the password.

The passwords and usernames are maintained in the company data files and are not part of QB.
So, I would log in as Admin and go to the User set up and management function to see what is here. You might need to delete and recreate the other usernames. I have seen this get corrupt.
You could try rebuilding the file first, before clearing out user names and setting up new ones.
Are you certain this is not a Windows message?

You're correct, none of the replies addressed your issue at all. You're not crazy, I have seen this too -- even though the file is setup for multi user, it SOMETIMES FORCES you to connect only as Admin.
My guess is that there are some underlying "bugs" that lose track of the network connection file and it's "safety default" is to make you login as admin. When this happens, have someone login to QuickBooks on the HOST machine as admin (where the physical data file is located), set it to single user mode, then multi user mode, then log out. Hopefully the next time the remote user logs in, it will allow them to sign in using their username.
