locations for parts

US QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions : 11.0: Retail

we are trying to enter a location on parts, added "location" field on item list and added location in the "define fields" but still does not show anywhere. We are currently using quickbooks enterprise solutions 2011. Any suggestions?

 The location field you see on customize column for the item list is not used for inventory it is used for fixed asset items which do not show on the item list - a bug that has been there for over 6 years

on the item screen create a custom field called bin or something then add that field to the column display by right clicking on the column titles and selecting customize columns
