This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! link bill payments to bills after bills moved to a second account payable account

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows

I moved bills to a second account payable account. Now bill payments to the bills that were moved are not linked. How can I re-link the bill payments to the bills in the second account payable account?

For each check, bring it up, change the account on the expense tab to the new payable account

bring up bill pay, select the bill and click apply credits

If I've helped, mark it solved.

Thanks,  but the problem was the second account payable I refered to is a second account under the account payable journal account, not a new vendor account, (the vendor's account stayed the same) so I could not find any way to point back.  I resolved it by sending all the bills back to the vendor's account in the orginial account payable and then applying the credits as you suggested.  This seems to have worked and cleared the problem.  I believe if I want to use that second journal account payable with this vendor attached to this second account payable to track this vendor (which I have a consignment agreement with which is why I want to track it separately from my other account payables) I will just put the new bills from this vendor in the second account payable and go forward.  I will not try to move over prior bills and and bill payments.    (I couldn't get into my Intuit account and couldn't get the password reset so this reply is coming from Vel2 a new account)   Thanks for your reply.
