I cannot figure this out. Line 17 and line 10 are not equal on my 941. I have no idea why not and don't even know where to start looking? Any ideas????
This means that the actual saved on paychecks by month does not equal the actual tax due based on your wages for the quarter. This can be because one or more taxes were manually altered on a pcycheck or because there are errant liability ajustments entered.
Assuming your paid wages are correct per tax, then the amount on line 10 is right and the actual tax calculated on paychecks is incorrect. If so, then adjust the monthly totals to be correct and be sure to pay the amount due on the form.
