Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

Let's not be offended

Because emails and written text miss the nuances of voice communication, some of our written text can be misconstrued as being rude or dismissive.

Please try not to read a bad attitude into other peoples communications :(

Thank you

Here here! I have a problem with text messaging as well. Only 7% of our communication is held in the actual words....very easy to go awry.

LacerteGuru - why is your e-file center so slow to load the client list?  After the update released on 1/18/12, not only is this really slow, but just loading the program across a network takes up to 2.5 minutes before you can actually use the program with individual module.  Please help

Instead of pleading with others to change, let us do something that's much more proactive.

Let's work on not being hurt or offended when people misconstrue our words, spoken or written. It's going to happen as long as we participate in society. People snapping back all offended with uncalled for, emotionally charged statements is never (ever) going to stop in any social setting be it in person or online forums. Also, let's face the fact that sometimes we say things which are too editorialized and can come across as patronizing even though it was not our intention to do so. We need to end the emotional cycle by just taking a deep breath and moving on without falling prey to a random person's lack of social awareness and emotional discipline.

I agree.

Yesterday someone "responsed" to a good question (WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS) instructing them not to post their questions in all caps.

Come on, is that neccessary?

This forum is to help one another. If you would rather not, then please dont. Just saying...

Yeah it's necessary.  Posts written all in caps are harder to read (besides the fact that they indicate shouting in this new modern age of the internet and texting).  If someone wants another professional to take time out from their day to help them, they can at least take the time to type a legible, comprehensible question.  If not, then as the title above notes, don't be offended.
