Lacerte only allows amounts up to 999,999,999 but foreign currency income is higher.

Need to input foreign figures in the billions for a 5471 but Lacerte only allows up to 999,999,999. Any suggestions?

I've had luck with multiple Ctrl+E entries, depending on how big you need to go.  The limit is something that can be written as an exponent of 2, but I don't remember what off the top of my head.

Failing that, fill-in forms.

If I wanted phone calls, my phone number would be in my profile. If you have a question, post it in the applicable forum.

Phoebe

Thank you for responding so quickly.  I don't know what any of those suggestions mean!  By fill-in forms do you mean prepare them without using Lacerte?  I suppose I'll have to but Lacerte seems awfully expensive for that.

What Phoebe means is that you can possibly "trick" Lacerte by hitting "Control E" on the input line you need. This will bring up a supporting detail screen. Instead of entering the number you need, enter 2 or 3 numbers in the amount column that add up to the amount you desire.

If my post did not answer your question, get a paid Intuit employee's answer for Lacerte questions at 800-933-9999. Oh, and enjoy the elevator music while you wait.
