The SiteError404 page is page that was created by default in your account for instances where there is a broken link on your website. So, if a visitor types a page name incorrectly or clicks a link to a page that no longer exists in your site, this error page is displayed.
When you are viewing your published site and click on a link that takes you to the SiteError404 page, you will need to check a few things in order to fix the problem:
Make sure the link is connected to the correct page/file name.
1. Launch Sitebuilder
2. If the broken link is in your Navigation Element, click on the Navigation Element on your page, then the Links tab in the Properties Editor. From there you will see a list of your links. Click on the one that is having problems, then hit Edit Link
If the broken link is a standard text box/image, highlight the text box/image, and then click on Link
3. The Link Window will appear. Make sure that it the page or file that is associated with the link is the correct file name. If not, click on Browse to search through your File Manager to find the correct page/file.
4. Click OK
5. Save and Publish
Make sure the page/file that the link is connected to is published.
1. Open your File Manger (File > File Manager)
2. Scroll down to find the page that the link is supposed to be connected to and check the column Status.
3. If the Status says, “OK”, then you are fine. If the Status reads, “!Upload”, select the file, then click the Upload button to publish that page.
Hope that helps!
