Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

#keylearning - Here are the steps for pointing your domain to your account

Do you already have a domain name registered with another host, but still want to use it with your Intuit website?

You can keep your existing domain registration and point your domain directly to your website by updating your name servers.

You will need to contact your domain provider or registrar with technical information in order for them to update your domain settings.

Follow the steps below to complete the pointing of your domain name.

Step 1: Contact your current domain provider or registrar and request the following updated to your name servers:

NS1.MDNSSERVICE.COM
NS2.MDNSSERVICE.COM
NS3.MDNSSERVICE.COM

Don't worry if you don't understand what these terms mean... your domain provider will. Just give them a call or send them an email and request the changes be made to your name servers.

Step 2: Configure domain pointing in your online account:

1. Log in to your website account.

2. Click My Domains in the left-hand navigation menu.

3. Click the Point an Existing Domain link. (A new page will appear.)

4. In the Which website would you like this domain to point to? drop-down menu, select the site you want the domain to open.

5. Enter the domain name you are pointing and click Verify.

6. Complete Task 1 and click the I Have Added Nameservers button.

Once you have clicked I Have Added Nameservers, we will automatically complete the pointing process. This typically takes 1-3 business days, depending on the speed of your domain registrar
