#Key Learning - Register a new domain
Having a personalized domain name (website URL) that reflects your business name is a big plus for your website. Here's how to register a new domain.
Follow these steps:
1. Click the My Domains tab on the left-hand side of any Intuit Websites page.
2. Click Register a New Domain.
3. Type the web address you want for your site and click Check Availability.
4. Intuit will scan the web to see if that address is available. If it is, click Next. If it's taken, you'll be asked to pick another address.
5. Make any changes to your contact info and privacy settings and click Next.
6. Review/update your billing information as needed, click I agree below the terms of service, and click Submit.
You're done! Give us a day or two to process the change, and then your new web address will be active.
