I don't know personally, but I have heard negative comments from others. I haven't heard anything positive. I think KC Truby encourages outsourcing the services through them to India (or somewhere). It is good that you're doing you own research and investigating! If you're uncertain, you're probably right.

You can get a lot of marketing ideas and help from this website, these message boards, and other places.

I purchased the KC Kurby course. it cost over $2500.00 for the year. they gave information to do quickbook training seminars, which I did for another grand. Did not get one customer from it. I feel it was a waste of money, but at time it sounded like a good idea, because I was new in the business. Now he does outsourse to india,

I am not sure who randib is, but i do know this. Over the last 10 years I have brought 250,000 businesses into a local accountants office for QB support or training. Many of those 250,000 became clients at some level. We do push outsourcing (some of it to India) and you can find the details at www.kctruby.biz You will also see over 100 endorsements from other accountants. I am sorry to hear that randib did not make money, with one seminar. I am not sure many marketing or advertising plans work unless you are consistent.

This Roy Rogers wannabe( performs video in cowboy drag) masquerading as the next coming of Bernard Baruch is as phony as can be. $2500 for a Seminar????? Get real..it's a RIPOFF and so are his training videos which can be had for FREE on youtube. He saw some of those REAL Estate Get Rich Seminars and tried to cash in with quickbooks as his cash cow. Dont waste your time or money>Go see Guiliani, Colin Powell, Laura Bush Zig Ziglar and Terry Bradshaw for $19 when they come to town. You'll get more out of it.

Hi Folks,

I went to KC's seminar in October and I found it very very helpful. He gives so much information. So much information, that I needed to take it home and spend more time rereading it and going over the notes.

I did the mailout for the quickbooks and I got a client who wanted help right away and another potential client coming over next week and they did not even want to wait for the seminar.  I had a nice seminar and I am going to continue to market the quickbooks. KC talks about how to conduct  the seminar.  I don't have a conference room for 6 people, so instead I made it work for me and I limited the class to three people. And I am going to continue to do the seminars. I used my own printer this time because I wanted to get started, but I am going to try a mailing house he recommended.

But his seminar is much more than Quickbooks.  It helped me to see where I need to standardize and develop procedures.    The true is the seminar is about ideas to run your business and your clients' businesses better.  You don't have to go with everything he suggests. But he shows you the concept. And I really enjoyed  the seminar. He is interesting,  well read, and fun.  It is kind of like having a business mentor for 3 days.
