I am a bit confused about this.
Since I am using currently QuickBooks Premier Accountant Edition 2010 which is UK.
Is VAT available as in UK in quickbooks premier accountant 2011?
Quick Books 2011 was never released in the UK. It was only configured for use in the US.
Try Quick Books 2012, which is the upgrade to Quick Books 2010 UK. Intuit have made a number of improvements and enhancements.
Is there a specific way to identify whether it is US or UK version?
I did do a little research in the US version and it does not support Tax method used in UK. That is why I am looking for UK version.
Thank you for the update that 2011 UK was never released. This would save me time trying to find 2011.

Recent UK versions of Quick Books have been 2006, 2008, 2010 and now 2012. This article shows how to determine various UK editions of Quick Books from 1998 through to 2010.
QB2011, which was only released in the US does not handle either VAT nor UK payroll. Only QB2010 and now 2012 will handle either of those UK-centric tax elements.
