IRS Address in 1120 client letter printing the address code, not the mailing address. Printing code CPCMAINADDR14 rather than, in my case, Cinncinati OH. I had this same problem last year. Any ideas other than edit every 1120 clent letter.
2 things come to mind. One is that if the “keyword†that prints the address is split between 2 lines, the program does not read it as a keyword. Here is an example of a keyword: [@XXXMainAddr5a]<@XXXMainAddr5a>.
If this is being split so that when printed the first half is on one line and the second half is on the next line, it will print the [@XXXMainAddr5a]<@XXXMainAddr5a> as opposed to what the keyword stands for. Edit the global client letter so that the keyword is not split between 2 lines.
Another thing is that the letter file may be broken. There is a copy of the default letter file on your computer. If you are running Proseries as a stand alone, the file will be located in C:\ProWin08\Common. If you installed as a network, the location will be in the destination of the install \pronet08\common. In the common folder, there are 2 files we are interested in. Cpccltr.ltr and Cpccltr.rtf. NOTE: Completing these steps will return the corporate client letter to default.
Right click on the file Cpccltr.rtf, select rename and rename to Cpccltr.old.
Right click on Cpccltr.ltr and select copy.
At the top left, select Edit > Paste. This creates a file called “Copy of Cpccltr.ltrâ€.
Right click this copy and select rename. Rename the file to Cpccltr.rtf.
