iPad app.

When will Quickbooks have an app. for the IPad?

Let me add that I am a small business. I go into shops and take orders then go to the truck and pull them. Then I need to fill out an invoice and print it on my bluetooth printer.

I need an app. that can hold inventory and able to fill and print invoices.

I now use a palm pilot and it is getting old.

They already do, sort of.  The iPad can run any iPhone/iPod-Touch apps, and there is one for Quickboks Online. As announced, those apps simply scale up on the screen.  Perhaps Intuit will produce an iPad specific QB Online app in time.  I assume that Safari on the iPad can access all QB Online features as well.

You might ask in the QuickBooks Online forums to see if any hints for  future developments are dropped. ;-)

Please click the "Solved" button if your question has been resolved. (Not so that I get any points - do not really care - but so that others know if the question has been resolved.) Thanks.

It is so limited that it should be called a "Quickbooks Online Viewer".

I've heard that QuickBooks Online does not (or at least not entirely) work on the iPad. The full interface (that you'd see in Safari on your Mac) uses a bit of Flash and mouse-hover behaviors that do not work on the iPad.

On the other hand, if QuickBooks Online serves up the iPhone-optimized site to your iPad, it should work similarly.

You could keep an eye on the Intuit Labs site to see if anything shows up there.

Steve,  I would like to see the budget part of Quicken to be like Quicken 2000 Deluxe was.  That was the easiest budgeting Quicken has ever had.  Since then it's been very difficult to use and not very intuitive.  Also, design an iPad app that could use Dropbox or similar cloud file storage to store data.  Right now I use Dropbox to store my current Quicken file so I can access it from different machines (home/ work etc)

I can say with confidence that it is definitely something that we are interested in and investigating.

I would like to open it back to the community, what type of application(s) would you like to see for the iPad?  What specific pain points do you have that you believe an iPad application could really solve for?  Be creative as you want.

I am very interested to see what type of feedback that our valued community has to say.

With the new iPad 2 out, I would love to see a redesign of Home Inventory Manager from the ground up; while making use of the cameras. Being able to photograph home items and instantly enter it into the software in an intuitive way with backup functionality and so much more.

As a Realtor, I am always on the go and the Ipad is an amazing tool. It would be nice to be able to enter all my expenses on a Quickbooks app and sync when I get home. This would be a huge help to saving me time and effort. I would also be able to do invoicing on the go as I manage properties. that way I can create the invoice and email it directly.

Alos adding the ability to add vendors and customers on the go would be a great benefit.

I think that Intuit has the knowledge and ability to do this and it should be done sooner than later.

I would like to see an app that looked a lot like Pocket Quicken on my PDA.  I would like it to sync while plugged into my desktop.  I am not a fan of Quicken Online.  Having the "Update Accounts" option available would also be helpful.

I would like to have an IPad version of quicken for home that has some of the functionalities of Mint for the iphone.  I love the fact that Mint will remember who past transactions are with and will autocategorize and remember the names I assigned for them.  It makes updating and balancing the checkbook much easier but I want the functionalities of quicken.  My big problem with my current version of quicken is that I could never figure out the budgeting part -- it is not that user friendly and once i mess around with it I can't delete it and start from scratch so I just avoid it and have a separate spreadsheet that I manually figure out the monthly budget on.  The ability to sync with my computer with the Ipad so that if I have a problem it is automatically backed up would be fantastic as well.

I would love to see a way that my guys can receive orders with a iPad and it sync with our Quickbooks Enterprise.  I would like to add customers,  do sales orders, invoices and quotes,  I would love that!  And take payments with it.  One other note,  a signature pad for Enterprise would be awesome,  save paper and we then can email invoices with digital signatures on it,  that would be great!!!  Do it on the iPad also for deliveries.

Thanks

I would like to use it as the CEO and CFO of my company to view various reports of my company.  Items such as the company snapshot.  See Rombi type reports, etc.  I would like to get summary data of our account.  Graphs, trends, Account Balances, I/S, Balance Sheet, etc.  Detailed Recievable and payable reports, etc.  I'm not looking to enter data on the move from the ipad, but to view data in making business decisions.

Please develop Quicken for iPad/phone/touch. I love my Quicken Essentials and would like to access it from my iPad/mobile. That's the only obstacle left for me to ditch MAC/PC/UNIX totally. I already have word processor and spreadsheet. In addition to everything else.

I woud like full function & syncing between my ipad and my desktop QB so that I don't have to carry both machines when I'm on the road.

I'd like to see a fully functioning register not unlike shopkeep. Something that allows sales (both cash and credit) tracking, receipt printing, Z and X reports and so on. Multiple employees would be great as well - so that perhaps I could have one main account and say, an iPad and a laptop running as registers where employees can log in and run sales but don't have the full run of the system like the account manager would.

My business has no true "home" location as I do a lot of festivals, theme parks and other events, and these features would be amazing.

That is assuming there will be an acceptable Quicken application for the Mac for the iPad to sync with.

It would be nice if somehow you could integrate Mac's Mobil Me (soon to be Cloid with Lion) service to access your OFFLINE QB account. I really like the full version (as opposed to the online version) and would love to access my QB that way.

I know, asking for a lot here.
