To start working with Quickbooks,I entered my raw materials (inventory parts) & finished products (inventory assembly) by cut & paste from Excel spreadsheet. The inventory asset and opening balance equity so not balance, what is wrong?
You did something way wrong, and I am not sure what.
OBE equals the total of the value of the items entered if done right.

I would start a new company file and start over using the above tutorial as a guide. Insure you note the area where Charlie talks about entering the initial starting quantities and value.
