Intuit statement writer not updating header date

US QuickBooks Premier : 2009: Accountant

I just started using Intuit Statement Writer last quarter. Now when pulling up the saved reports, I can update the information from QuickBooks, but the date in the Header still reads last quarter (or the last time the statement was saved).

For example, I saved the ISW Statement for the dates: 07-01-2008 through 09-30-2008. Header read: Company, Income Statement, 3 months ending 09-30-2008, just as it should. Now I am doing the quarterly income statement 10-01-2008 through 12-31-2008. The data updates no problem but the header still reads 3 months ending 09-30-2008.

I cannot figure out how to get the header to update to match the data. I really don't want to re-do the statements every month. Otherwise, why save them?

Is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

Debbie

Hey Debbie,

I am having this same problem. Did you ever get it resolved?

Thanks!

No. But what I discovered by accident that seemed to do the trick was click on the General Tab opening that up. Click on the Format Statement Date. Don't change anything - just click OK. The date changed. Who knew???

I have other issues with the Statement Writer, too. UGH! Not my favorite Intuit toy. Hope it gets better. Because right now, I am liking FSD - as bad as that was - a whole lot better.
