Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! Industry vs accountant's edition

US QuickBooks Premier : 2011: Standard

I have a client that does service work and is a manufacturer. And we are upgrading them from Peachtree. Would they be better off with the Premier Manufacturing editions or the accountant's editions. The industry and accountant's editions are all premier editions, the only difference is some specific reports and wording on the customized for the specific industry.  But with Accountant's edition you have access to reports for each of the industry editions so it looks like since they cross 2 industries that they might be better off with the accountant's edition. What do you think

I would agree -- if they are going to get Premier anyway, they might was well get QB Accountant.  Plus, there are so many other benefits to the Accountant Edition.
