Indiana Unemployment Form UC-1 is not calculating properly. The beta has a problem.

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows

Indiana Unemployment Form UC-1 is not calculating properly.  On page 1 the tax rate is not carried over as a percentage.  As in the Payroll Items list you enter the rate as a percentage (ie 1.1%) .  The form then enters the rate as 1.1 multiplying taxes by a factor of 100.  Not good.  On page 1 & 2 all wages for active employees are mysteriously increased by $7000.   Most of the form needs to be overwritten.  The update for change in taxable wage base from $9500 to $7000 still has not occurred.  Intuit needs to get their act together and fix this buggy software.  We are not getting what we are paying for.

My Indiana UC-1 is fine (except for the incorrect annual limit of $9500).
Page 1 & 2 are correct.
Not sure why you are having a problem.

I am having the same issue with $9500 limit for excess wages. Is Intuit going to do something about it?

The solution

achhc-
We are expecting a payroll update shortly that will correct this wagebase change.

Keep checking for updates, and be sure to read the "Payroll Update Info" for any actions that may be required for Indiana Employers to make any corrections.

I hope this helps. Let us know by marking this post as "Solved" or post back with more information.
Sending a "Thank You" will not mark the post as solved.
Thanks.

Why my active employees wages were overstated $7000 is still a mystery.  I even had a new employee that was entered, but had not yet earned any wages, showing $7000 in wages for the quarter.  I had tried a complete payroll update prior to preparing the UC-1.  Whether this created the problem or not, I do not know.  I do keep my data on a server and not on the local machine.

The tax rate issue is also unexplained.

I'm glad others are not having similar issues, but how did I?

I will continue to check for the update.

I suggest everyone keep a monthly payroll summary report until this issue is corrected to help identify errors.

The update has arrived.  You need to install the update then go back and make a negative liability adjustment for the wage base on any amounts earned over $7000 before the update up to $2500.  Any amounts earned above $9500 ($7000 + $2500) have already been capped.  You also need to make adjustments for any liabilities calculated using the old rates.  Have fun!
