Indiana S-Corp Slip Sheets

Lacerte : 2011

Indiana S-Corporation slip sheets STILL don't have a filing address on them??? C'mon guys. There are two choices and you've known about this issue for weeks. Please fix this so I can stop having my admin prepare custom slip sheets for each return.

You probably don't have to do it for every return.  You can probably change your slip sheets so that the "return address" uses the coding for "taxpayer's name and address" (whatever that coding is) and the address in Indiana is "hard-wired" as whatever the Indiana address is.

I don't remember what slip sheet this is, but let's assume that it's SSLTR8.GW1 (which I think is the "client to government 9x12" envelope slip sheet).  You could copy the current version of SSLTR8.GW1 as SSLTR8.Lac (meaning "Lacerte") and then when you customize your state address, copy that as SSLTR8.IN (meaning, "Indiana").  After you've printed someone's return, and both slip sheets wind up printing as, say, the Indiana address, exit Lacerte, get to a C prompt, and cd c:\lacerte\11tax\option11.  Then COPY SSLTR8.LAC SSLTR8.GW1 and rerun the slip sheet, so you'll get the Federal one you need.

Back up before it's too late. For a professional answer, call Tech Support at 1-800-933-9999 (Lacerte)(other numbers ProSeries, QB, or TurboTax). I am a volunteer, not compensated or supported by Intuit.

As usual, Amy, your responses are well thought out and very helpful.  Unfortunately, I couldn't quite follow that, and I'm fairly tech-saavy.  I think I'll hard wire the Indiana filing address in the slip sheet options.

I understand these guys are busy this time of year, just like we are, but this seems like it's an easy win for someone to just enter the Indiana filing addresses in their dbase and push it down to us so it's just one less thing we've got to mess with.

I just wanted to provide an update here.  Indiana STILL does not have a filing address on its slip sheets.

This is just more annoying than anything else, as this should be a SIMPLE fix for Intuit.

Does anyone have the Indiana slip sheets yet?  Want to make sure it isn't just me that is still waiting for this fix.

The last update we received fixed the slip sheet issue for Indiana (at least for me).  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
