Independent Insurance Agency

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2011

I started an independent insurance agency, and I just need a basic set up. I just want to track money in (from carriers) and money out (for overhead). I will likely expand my Quickbooks later, but want to keep it simple for now. Any help with a basic template would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You are pretty much asking for a very comprehensive lesson in how to use the program from the ground up (even though you use a limited number of functions).  This is not really the type of forum for such a question and answer.

I recommend you select an experienced QB professional who understands your business to guide you, especially as you develop and grow.

If you look thru the answers provided by those in this forum and find you like someone, click on thier avatar and contact them.

There are also good training materials available directly from QB and any respectable bookstore (QB for Dummies, etc...) to give you a basic overview--skip the functionality you don't need such as inventory.
