Importing existing supplier list from Excel

QuickBooks UK : Pro 2012

I exported supplier list from an existing company in quickbooks to excel and want to import it into a new company in quickbooks and it will not let me. I have tried saving as .xlsx and .xlsm and also manually importing into the quickbooks template.

The easiest way is in the existing company go to File>Utilities>Export>Lists to IIF File. You can choose the lists you want to import to your new company.

Save the file to a location on your computer that you can find.

In the new company go to File>Utilities>Import and follow the steps.
