This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! Importing Data from Quickbooks

ProSeries was shipped without the ability to import data from Quickbooks Pro 2007. I notified ProSeries support on Dec 9 of this problem but they did not develop a fix/patch the problem until January. The patch is a file - commbiz.1ph which needs to be copied to ProWin07/Forms/App_07. Then as a result of program updates, the file is deleted! So it then needs to be copied again and computer restarted, etc. I am still using the same Quickbooks Pro 2007 and same operating systems Windows XP as last year. And QA ships ProSeries without even determining if it can import data into ProSeries! As if that isn't reason enough for the head of QA to resign, it takes them weeks to develop a patch! Then they don't have the sense to realize they need to add the patch file into the automatic updates! The head of QA should take responsibility for this and should resign. The users should not have to waste so much time because of such incompetence.

commbiz.1ph needs to be copied to ProWin07/Forms/App_07 and then you need to restart your computer. Also try removing password access to Quickbooks if you have a password to login to Quickbooks. You can also try to export from Quickbooks to ProSeries.

Hello,

Thank you for providing us the feedback on the challenges you?ve been having with the QuickBooks Integration feature. As the group product manager for ProSeries, I assure you that we take this issue seriously and apologize for the frustration it has caused.

We provided a 1040 program update early last Friday. This update corrects the previous issues with the QuickBooks integration feature. You will not need to copy and paste any files in order for this to resolve the issue.

We have determined what caused the issues, and are determined to improve our processes so it doesn't occur in future tax seasons.

Thank you very much for your feedback,

Kathy Kirkendall

Group Product Manager, ProSeries

Intuit Inc.

I have downloaded the most recent ProSeries updates and still am unable to import or export QuickBooks Pro 2007 or 2008 to Form 1065 and 1120S tax returns. How can I fix this?

I installed the Quickbooks 8.0 and Proseries 2007 on my network to a XP machine and the program works fine however on my vista laptop it still will not export or import. My guess is an access user rights issue.

After lengthy discussions with Intuit Tech Support the issue seems to be isolated to us who unfortunately have vista ultimate. Great more reasons to hate microsoft.
