It needs to be in a .iif format - you will need to research how to create this on the QuickBooks website - it would be very specific to your business.
But why not just create the invoice in QBs in the first place?

Hi there,
Thanks for replying - What is iif Format???I can't seem to find a refernce of this on their website.
The client has a high number on invoices so I wanted to try make my life easier by importing invoices into QB. Their IT guys can prduce and excel spreadsheet with all the info, I now need to try work how to import into QB.

.iif format is a recognised way to import info into QBs. It's not easy as it is specific to customer file - I've done it twice years ago! Try searching on internet for import iif file to QuickBooks and there will be lots of links. And search in the online support community forum too.

Hi,
I currently import my sales reciepts from my epos via a software called ZED AXIS. You can download a trial and try it out.
You may need to configure the xls file in order for it to export from excel to quicbooks, but its not that complicating.
