Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! IIF import Warning "Number larger than the maximum allowed"

US QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions : 9.0: Standard

Warning when importing IIF file "The number is larger than the maximum allowed" The extension on my import file is .iif,  also get "error on line 6: can't record invalid transaction" - this is the ENDTRNS  -- Any suggestions?

Check your amounts in the transaction. The max is 999,999,999.99

I had the same error message and was able to solve by changing Excel value of zero from - (dash) to 0.  It had to do with individual cell formatting of the number before saving to .iif file.
