What is the solution to this error message? IBuEngHost has stopped working
Hello stlbob,
I apologize for any frustration that this problem has caused you. I did a search in our Knowledge Base and found a couple help articles for you.
IBuEngHost.exe has stopped working
Error: IBUEngHost.exe has stopped working, when you try to restore a backup with Data Protect
It appears to me that the IBuEngHost.exe is a file used by the Intuit Online Data Service. Since I am not utilizing this service, can I uninstall the program so that it does not appear again?
Thanks in advance.
Bob
Hi stlbob,
Make sure you are on the latest update for QuickBooks, because I believe they fixed a problem with the Data Protect, and how it is launched.
You can download the latest update from the following site:
http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/Support/ProductUpdates.aspxlid=UpdateDownloads%20%28SUB%20...
I believe I have the latest update (R 11). Looks like the problem is still there.
I hope Quickbooks watched this forum or should I send a formal bug report?
Thanks again for your input.
Bob
Hi stlbob,
I'm sorry to hear that you are still having the problem even though you are on the latest update. I believe the latest update for QuickBooks 2011 is (R5).
We do have various employees that monitor the forums, including development and product managers, but I would suggest entering a bug regardless just in case they are tracking the impact of this problem.
You can submit feedback right from inside of QuickBooks by clicking the Help drop down menu, selecting Send Feedback Online, and clicking on Bug Report.
Sorry you are correct on R5.
I have submitted the bug feedback.
Bob
