How to un-file VAT return

QuickBooks UK : Pro 2012

Hi,

I have been using QB2010 for about 18 months so far. I have recently completed my 4th VAT quarter, ran the VAT100 report and filed the return online, as I have done so for the past 3 quarters.

This time though, I received an email back form HMRC stating that my submission to the "TEST IN LIVE" service had been successful!

I have used the smae HMRC credentials as I have always used, filed the VAT in exactly the same way, and yet this time QB appears to have filed it somewhere different. I'm assuming it's QB that has made the mistake, and not HMRC.

Is there a way to un-file the VAT so I can try again? also is there anywhere I can check if QB is filing to the LIVE or the TEST HMRC gateway?

If you log into the HMRC website you can view your submitted returns. I have received emails saying 'test' received, but they have actually been submitted & received OK.

If you delete the journal created when filing the vat then it will "un file" the vat
