how to record a downloaded payee name in quickbooks from credit card or banking transactions

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2011

how to record a downloaded payee name in quickbooks in register. I have to manually type these names in any transaction even though the downladed can be seen.

If the bank is tossing the date in with the payee name it will always be unique and you will have to manually type it in.  If there anything unique (i.e. home depot 1234, vs. home depot 5432) you have to teach the program the new store code. In this example each would be aliased to home depot without the store identifier.
