How to make a subcontractor discount show up on a 1099?

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2009

I am considered a subcontractor for my husband's company and I take mine and my child's insurance premium out of my check.  So what is the best way to do this?  I have been showing the deduction as a vendor discount, however this does not help me show my actual pay (pay without this deduction) for my 1099.  What is the best way to fix this and to do it in the future?

Sounds like a problem. Subcontractors don't have medical insurance. If they do, they may be considered employees. And if the company is paying your health insurance, and deducting it from what you're paid, you are only getting paid the net. Is the company taking the insurance as an expense? If so, showing that you were paid that amount also would be a double deduction. This has more problems than can be easily answered here.
