How to get rid of customer list exported from other file.

I exported QBs file of one of previous client and now I see customers in customer center from old file .I want to create new customers & I am doing it but don't want to see all other from old file.Do I have to Inactivate each ? or any other easy way?

You can delete each customer but that will be a 1 by 1 process.
You can create a new company.

Ok. that means I can delete or can click make it inactive by going on each one previously preset in customer list? which one is the correct way,so there will not be issues latter on.
