Yes, but it is not encrypted and not recommended for HIPPA privacy reasons.

If you are using QB2006, go to file, print forms, select paystubs. The option to e-mail the paystub is at the bottom of the box, but you will get a warning the it is not secure. Your state may have laws governing the e-mailing of sensitive so you should check that first before sending.

Your solution is great but I am using QBooks 2005 which does not have the email option on the paystub print screen. Do you know a way to send the paystub to excel or word, then I could remove the sensitive data before emailing. Thank you!!

Not in QB2005, you can only e-mail the payroll summary report but that won't have the sick/vacation info or filing status etc. It will let the employee know what his check amount will be and your tax costs. Not a good option, your other option is to send the filtered report to an excel spread sheet and then modify the report to e-mail to the employee. Lot's of work, may be easier to upgrade to QB2006.

If you're not attached to QB Payroll for some reason, you can use PayCycle. You can create import files each pay period to bring the data into QB and the employees can use a generic site (paycheckrecords.com) to get their paystubs each pay period - the system emails the notification that the stubs are ready and they choose their own password to access it securely in their browser.

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure how I got the printer called "FinePrint pdf factoy" on my list of printers. I print all paychecks to it and save them in My Documents, under the clients file. I then attach the file to my email and the client prints them out.
You can contact me at lindajof@aol.com if you need more info.
