How to control order of items on pick list
When you are working on the item list, you can control the sort order of items, and all is well.
But where items get used most, and where I want to reduce confusion as much as possible, is when a person is making a sale. I want to be able to control the sort order (in the drop down pick list) so that the items are listed in a certain order that will make it real easy for the sales person to find and pick the right items.
The way it is now, if I want to have a group of items that are used together, some service, some Non-Inventory, the sales person has to search all over the list to get them all. In the pick list they are grouped by item type. The "Group Items" are way at the bottom.
In a database, you should be able to control the sorting of records in a pick list.
