How to combine two QuickBooks files

A client of mine had their computer crash, so while it was getting fixed, they continued inputting QB data into a new QB file on their laptop. Now that their other computer is up and running again and they restored their QB file, they need to combine the data from prior to crash with data entered in new computer after the crash. I cannot figure out how to do this. Thanks.

You will need to use a third-party program to to transfer data entered in the new QuickBooks file back to the restored old QuickBooks file. There are some of these programs on the Intuit marketplace. See

I have used Karl's "Data transfer utility" with great success! If you need to tsf. Payroll Checks, you need the second utility, and these chcks get transferred as plain CHECKS (not PR checks)...so, if the client is running PR you may want to have them manually re-create all the PR & PR Liability chks.

I have a client that has backed up and restored their company file atleast 4 times. In the process they have recreated different companies. She has tried to reconcile and cannot because information is spread out between companies. What is the simplest way to correct this problem?
