How do you remove an item from the inventory all together?

QuickBooks Point of Sale

I have taken over an account that has a ridiculous amount of duplicate and incorrect items in my inventory. I need to edit out what is usless from the system and there doesnt seem to be any answer from the help menu, it only says how to remove/ delete items from a list.

While you are looking at your inventory screen with all the items on it (item list), click on one item (or multiple with CTRL-click) and then choose I Want To>Delete.
