Hi Lynx62,
At the top of a register, there is a Print button. This can be customized to any date range. It cannot be customized to add specific columns, etc. If you need this you can click the QuickReport button. This is a report that can be modified to fit your specific reporting needs.
Please let me know if this helps or if you have other questions. If it does help, please consider marking it helpful or solved!
Best regards,

Do I understand correctly that there is no way to print a check register in Quickbooks? To be clear a check register is a numeric listing of all checks written during a given period of time with the check number, amount, payee. I am incredulous. This is a most basic of all reports in any accounting system.
Host Amy described two ways to print a check register: From the Print button at the top of the register, and by creating a Quickreport (in the chart of accounts, highlight the account, CTRL+Q for a Quickreport, export to Excel and modify as needed.
