How do i copy or duplicate a check?
how do i duplicate a check in the register?
i used to be able to "copy check" and "paste check" but now i don't see "paste check".

You can use File > Duplicate Check. However, I don't believe this is available for "BillPmt" checks.

Debi, thanks for your reply. but "duplicate check" doesn't duplicate. I have no idea what that feature does, but nothing happens with any of my accounts when I click on this. it doesn't create another copy anywhere.

The solution
I just tried it in a sample company file, and it worked. I opened the check I wished to duplicate and chose Edit > Duplicate Check. Then an error box came up with "Duplicate transaction: Are you sure you want to duplicate this transaction?" I clicked OK in that box and then clicked OK in the Write Checks window. I received a second warning about a duplicate check number, but I okayed that too.
Obviously, this doesn't work the same as a Copy Check feature might work, as this feature creates an exact duplicate, including the check number.
