How can I export a QuickBooks Sales Invoice to Excel

For Import/Export paperwork I need to be able to manipulate the data that appears on an invoice and there is just not enough options on the standard QuickBooks invoice. Therefore I need to be able to export the invoice and add the various data that I need. This does not need to be loaded back into quickBooks. It is simply for exporting paperwork that needs to travel with the shipment.

Thank you for any help!!

While you can't export the invoice per say, you can export the transaction data of that invoice.

Open the Invoice . Press CTRL Y keys & then Export

Hope this helps. If so please mark solved, if not please ask more questions. Thanks!

That is very helpful.  I have a similar need, but my business is a service and often the memo field in my invoices is quite long.  When I export the data, and even when I create the transaction report in QuickBooks, that field is truncated.  Can i prevent that?

Also, the transaction report does not include the date the service was rendered.  How can I add that information?

Thanks in advance

Many of the Excel exports will truncate long fields. There isn't a way around that in QuickBooks itself.

You can get the full data, usually, if you purchase a third party export tool. One worth trying is from Baystate Consulting at www.baystateconsulting.com.
