how can a job become a customer? A builder builds the house then sells it the job (house) becomes a customer (new home owner) we can sell additional to. The builder is no longer part of the deal but we need the history because it has all of our prework listed.
On the customer list, grab the diamond next to the name and drag it left
then edit it and give it a new name
This did work to some extent... It made the job the customer over all of the jobs under the customer. It was a little frantic trying to recover it. the only way was to do a restore of my entire database. fortunately it was early in the day and no one else had logged in. so I was able to recover and go on as if nothing had happened.
