I am installing Quickbooks Pro 2006, after I enter my serial numbers, etc. the program prepares to install and an error message pops up:Error 1500 Another program is already trying to be installed, this must finish before you can install Quickbooks.What's going on and how can I fix this?Thanks

Hopefully you found the answer to your error message, but if not I found a microsoft article that tells how to resolve this issue.

The article states that two programs using the msi installer can not be ran at the same time and that to resolve this issue you have to restart the computer and then start the QuickBooks installation.

I receive error 1500 when trying to re-install quickbooks pro 2006. Ihave rebooted computer several times when message occurs but problem persistd.
This problem began with an error message 3371. I used system restore and now I get error 1500.
I'm thinking I should upgrade to 2008 but resent having to pay $175.00 to fix QB's software problem. It would cost $75.00 for tech support. This is wrong!
