Is there a report you can print from POS showing Inventory that is on "Held" Sales Receipts? I have a client that leaves held receipts for a week or so, while clients take merchandise home to see how it looks and then come back to pay for it.
It sounds like they might be better off recording these as Sales Orders rather than Held Sales, so you can get better reporting. WIth Held Sales, the available quantity column in the item list isn't reduced by the quantity of items being held. But that available quantity IS reduced by the items that are listed on Sales Orders. So there's less likelihood that the store will accidentally try to sell an item that is already committed to another customer.
