They are a division of the U S Department of Tax Services. I lost a client yesterday and was told they would be using a Tea Party Member this year. So I looked on the local Tea Party Patriots and here is this co listed in Washington DC?

I guess, Hugh, that this forum has evolved over the years to become "any question about taxes," even though it started out as "how do you do this or that in the Lacerte program."

FYI, Don, the Lacerte and Pro Series forums should be utilized by tax professionals helping other tax professionals with income tax questions. The Quick Books forum is for QB users(which includes business owners who typically are not accountants). Emphasis on should be.
Turbo Tax has its own forum, although many, many TT users find their way here to get free professional tax advice. You can usually tell who they are. You can answer them or not, at your discretion.
I think your question was valid about losing a client, and you asked other professionals about that (ahem) tax services company. That company is quite misleading in its advertising.

Hugh, I can't help but notice that although you're complaining about the posts here, you certainly haven't contributed anything but complaints about everyone else. Maybe you should take your own advice.

Ok, I am not sure what questions are OK for this forum, but maybe you can enlighten me with that information.
I really did not care that much about loosing a client as to what my clients are being bombard with. This was more than me wanting to know about my ONE client, but making the members of this forum aware of what I found. I have been in the tax preparing business for 40+ years and I like you have never heard of Division of the Tax Services. I know all about the Tea Party as I am a member. BBB does not recognized either business name!! So I just wanted to hear if someone else has had any contact with these organizations. I don't think I needed my B_ _ T chewed.

Boy if you guys are this feisty the first week of January I don't want to be anywhere near this place in April.
I've actually been quite well behaved lately. I put little sheaths on my claws. I can even be color-coordinated.
You've got to be kidding me! Next they'll put decorator muzzles on cats!
Someone has probably already invented those.
I have even seen those sheaths on a live cat (not mine, I would never)-although she was working to get them off.
