Donna,

The 15 digits is your Bank account number that is entered when you create a new Bank account.

If you are using number General ledger accounts, set up your accounts thusly,
1001 Banks
1003 Bank account "A" (a sub account of 1001 Banks)
1005 Petty Cash (a sub account of 1001 Banks)
1006 Money Market account (a sub account of 1001 Banks)
2001 Assets
2003 Equipment (a sub account of 2001 Assets)
2005 Original Cost-Equipment (a sub account of 2003 Equipment)
2006 Accum Depr-Equipment (a sub account of 2003 Equipment(
2101 Credit cards
2103 Visa (a sub account of 2101 Credit cards)
2105 Mastercard (a sub account of 2101 Credit cards)

I don't believe that you can run out of general ledger accounts using this method. You can make them 7 digits if you like.

I use the 3000 series for Equity accounts, 4000 series for Sale (income), 5000 for Cost of Goods sold, 6000 for Expense, and 7000 for Other income and Other Expense.

Hope this helps.
