Forms 8655 & 8633 Required to E-File 940 & 941 forms
EasyAcctPlease note that form 8655 Reporting Agent Authorization, and form 8633 Application to Participate in the IRS E-File Program should be completed before electronically file forms 940 & 941.
The 8655 has to be completed for each client for whom you wish to e-file. On this form be sure to clearly state which forms you will be filing electronically. Any forms not noted are likely to be rejected, per the IRS. The 8633 is used to obtain and EFIN and PIN from the IRS.
