Force Form 565 for non-California LLC

Lacerte

Does anyone know how to make Lacerte prepare Form 565 for a Washington LLC which is required to file Form 565 for California rather than Form 568?   There is a check box on the California Miscellaneous screen which checks Form 565 Page 2, J-3, but that does not force the 565 to generate.  We need the federal return to show it's an LLC.

Are you sure you need form 565?

If it's an LLC and it's doing business in CA, it probably needs to file a 568. And be qualified to do business with the CA secretary of state.

Form 565 is for LLP. If the entity is otherwise regulated by the state (Contractors, Attorneys, etc) then they must be a LLP and not a LLC.
You may have to change the Type of Entity, print the 565, then change the type back.

Hmm??? Could I have been clearer when I asked that question? Did I mark the question solved after it was answered?
