FedEx Shipping Manager being terminated soon - is there a fix within QB?

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2010

I have 2010 QB Pro, and use the shipping manager. I have rec'd a letter from FedEx stating that the Shipping Mgr is being terminated. Will I lose the ability to work through QB to do my shipping?  If I upgrade to a newer version of QB, will that fix the problem?  I love the shipping mgr, it makes life so much easier when I'm in a hurry.  What will I need to access FedEx trhough QB after March 1st, or whenever it takes effect.

Hi Marilyn,

If you are using the shipping manager inside of QuickBooks for Fed Ex, then you will be able to continue to use this feature after June.  The email from Fed Ex refers to stand alone applications that some customers use outside of QuickBooks.

Actually, the Shipping Manager is being terminated on May 31,2012, and this does include older versions of QuickBooks. If your 2010 QuickBooks version is earlier than 2010 R10 you will need to upgrade or else run the risk of not being able to ship.
