If I want the filing instructions to print for my 4868s I need to check the box in screen 5.1 for Automatic Extension (4868). I think this may be because I have my user options set to not print the 4868 with the return.

I just had the same problem...i'm guessing it is because you haven't entered enough information for Lacerte to know if you are sending a payment with the extension or you are not. If you look on page four of the instructions for form 4868 it will tell you where to send...it depends on if you are sending a payment or not.
