Exporting transactions
I have a client who had been using QB06. He has now purchased QB11 Pro. I have an backup from January 2010 which I moved to QB10. I have added many transactions and changed others in the backup. In the meantime client has continuted to post entries since then. I need to 1) update clients QB file to QB11, 2) move my QB2010 file to his computer and update to QB11, 3) export clients bank account transactions from the old file, and 4) import them into my restored file. Steps one and two are no problem. I thought about creating a check detail and deposit detail report for the appropriate period and exporting those reports to Excel. It seems however that those reports are not suitable for import. Possibly putting the register into Excel would be better but I can't figure out how to do that. Or possibly a transaction list by date would be my best bet if someone can tell me what modifications I need to make to import that list into the new company.
